The District Gujrat of Pakistan is famous for its Naza Bazi ‘Tent Pegging’ Often referred to as equestrian skill-at-arms, the sport has a mounted rider riding at a full gallop across a timed course, on the flat using a lance to smite ground and elevated targets. Military cavaliers have practiced tent pegging for more than two-and-a-half millennia, and it is one of only ten disciplines officially recognised by the FEI, the global governing body for Olympic and international equestrianism.

Gujrat Race Club & Stud has been registered with the Jockey Club of Pakistan, the registration number is 97/2012 . The Secretary of the Jockey Club of Pakistan, Brig. Muhammad Akram Khan (Retd.) Congratulated Mr Mohammed Ahsan GRCS Chairman, on the successful registration.
Horses Imported From The UK
Gujrat Race Club imported horses from the heart of world racing industry Newmarket, UK. Two in foal mares were bought at the Tattersall’s sales and an excellent Darshan stallion was a gift from HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and UAE Minister of Finance from his Shadwell Stud at Thetford, Norfolk, UK.
Gujrat Race Club Building Development
The outline structure of the stable block and the Office Complex on the first floor is complete. The stables inside the verandah , the walls are plastered now the floor of the stables is next. Although the stables are 15 feet wide they to allow the horses to see each other and be part of a pack.
